Great Subs @ SUBMARINA - Hemet

This is probably one of the most memorable poems to come out of World War I.  This poem prompted others in the US to organize for a unified, countrywide day of remembrance - now called Memorial Day.

In Flanders Fields

 John McCrae 1915

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
That mark our place, and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the dead.  Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from falling hands we throw
The Torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

This fan seems to be the standard throughout the Submarina California Subs chain.

Most of what I really need to know about how to live, and what to do and how to be, I learned in kindergarten. Wisdom was not at the top of the graduate school mountain, but there in the sandbox of the nursery school.

These are the things that I learned…..

…Share everything…Play fair…Don’t hit people…Put things back where you found them…Clean up your own mess…Don’t take things that aren’t yours…Say that you’re sorry when you hurt somebody…Wash your hands before you eat…Flush…Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you…Live a balanced life…Learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day, some…

…Take a nap every afternoon…When you go out into the world – watch for traffic…hold hands…and…stick together…Be aware of wonder…Remember the little seed in the plastic cup…the roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody really knows how or why, but we are all like that…

…Goldfish and hamsters and white mice and even little seeds in the plastic cup – they all die…So do we…

…And remember the book about Dick and Jane and the first word you learned, the biggest word of all, LOOK…Everything you need is in there somewhere…The Golden rule…and love…and basic sanitation…Ecology…and politics…and sane living…

…Think of what a better world it would be if we all---the whole world---had cookies and milk at about three o’clock every afternoon and then laid down with our blankets for a nap…Or if we had a basic policy in our nations to always put things back where we found them and clean up our own messes…And it is still true, no matter how old you are…when you go out into the world…it is best to hold hands and stick together.

Breakfast Sandwiches have become so popular in the US that they are now listed in the top 10 things we eat for breakfast.

We'd like to take a moment and demonstrate how to build three easy breakfast sandwiches.

The sandwiches are:

1.  Morning Monte Cristo
2.  Banana'wich
3.  Eggs-in-a-wrap

Take a look at the video below for a hands on how to guide to making these delicious, low calorie breakfast sandwiches.

The car was custom built for the Queen and she used it personally for 3 years.
